Overview

A warm and welcoming family seek an experienced, native French-speaking travel nanny for their trip to the UK, Spain and Italy this summer.  The role is likely to start mid-June and will finish at the end of August.  Hours will vary, but expect the usual schedule to be 6 days per week, for at least 12 hrs per day, and there will likely be periods when 7 days per week is required (when they are on their yacht, for example).

Responsibilities

The nanny will be responsible for a 7-year-old and a 5-year-old, and the role will very much be about immersing them in French language and having lots of fun!  Responsibilities will therefore include:

  • All daily care for the two children
  • Planning fun activities and trips, and accompanying them at all times
  • Speaking with them in French only
  • Some meal prep and light cooking
  • Tag-teaming with parents, with a mix of sole and shared care
  • Liaising with parents and other staff members regularly

Requirements

  • Candidates MUST be native French-speakers
  • An EU passport would be helpful
  • Candidates should also be comfortable with regular travel through Spain, Italy and the UK, and with spending time on a yacht (two separate weeks)
  • A strong swimmer is essential
  • Prior experience in a similar role and with similar aged children would be appreciated
  • A fun, positive personality and a pitch-in attitude is essential
  • Plans may change, so candidates should be comfortable pivoting and with remaining flexible and adaptable at all times
  • Experience in a high net worth environment and with working as part of a team would be helpful
  • Excellent communicator

Salary and Benefits

  • All accommodation and food will be provided
