Overview

A wonderful family located in Sarasota, FL is seeking a dedicated and experienced housekeeper to join their team ASAP. The position will include their Primary Residence and their Beach House close by, and professional cleaning support is provided biweekly for deep maintenance. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week guaranteed.  The family has 2 young children, who have their own nanny, additional staff in the home, and several animals, the housekeeper must be a team player, comfortable around kids and animals, and in a busy household. 

Responsibilities

  • Overall housekeeping, cleaning, and tidying of the estate
  • Laundry- treating delicate clothing and handling ironing as needed
  • Helping to keep various items stocked in tandem with the personal assistant- for example, all cleaning supplies, snacks and bottled water, toiletries, and socks/underwear- organizing and keeping closets and toiletries organized
  • Noticing and notifying the family’s staff of any needed repairs around the home
  • Helping care for the family's pets, providing fresh water and cleaning up after the domestic pets (Dogs, Cats, bunnies, tortoises etc.).

  • Assisting the family’s chef in preparing for dinner parties and events

  • Unpacking and organizing after family vacations

  • Taking out trash and maintaining tidy outdoor/entry areas

  • Ensuring all household areas remain impeccably clean, organized, and guest-ready

  • Working between the primary home and beach house as needed

Qualifications

  • Calm and friendly demeanor
  • Detail oriented
  • Team-player, gets along well with other staff and able to work together
  • Great organization skills
  • Happy and positive attitude 
  • Has worked in a household with a larger staff (PA, nannies, chef)
  • Good communicator.
  • Experience with High Net Worth families or prior 5-star hotel experience and training are a big plus
  • Emphasis on a warm, respectful, and collaborative household culture

  • Must have a US Passport, Green Card, or EAC

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience

  • Vacation: 10 days paid PTO annually

  • Paid Holidays: Major U.S. holidays observed

  • Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus
