Overview

A wonderful worldly couple is seeking an experienced live-in Mandarin-speaking career nanny for their 16-month-old daughter, who can travel domestically and internationally. The family resides in Nashville, TN, and when in residence, the general schedule will be 5 days per week, with two days off. When the family travels, the candidate will be expected to work additional hours due to what’s required when traveling with a young child. Accommodations consist of a private bedroom and bathroom. The child will start school 3 days per week in the Fall. Relocation is being offered. No pets, please. 

 

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Full-charge childcare
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for the child
  • Feeding, meal prep, and puree of healthy and clean foods. Introduction of different foods
  • Bathing and changing diapers, potty training, and all child-related hygiene care.
  • Child-related housekeeping duties such as cleaning of bottles, dishes, laundry, and keeping areas tidy and organized.
  • Engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, interactive play, and listening to music
  • Establishing a routine for the child and communicating effectively with the parents regarding the child’s progress and needs.
  • Advance preparation for travel and all child-related travel needs, including packing and unpacking and the ordering of supplies.
  • Research age-appropriate activities locally and when traveling
  • Keeping a log to track milestones and record any pertinent information regarding the child for ease of reference.

  • Strong knowledge of infant care practices and developmental milestones
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to speak Spanish or Chinese is not required but would be a huge plus

Requirements

  • 7+ years of previous experience in a similar role with children of a similar age
  • Ability to travel for extensive periods internationally and domestically – US passport ready
  • Mandarin speaking
  • CPR and First Aid certified for children
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Non-Smoker/Drinker – practice a clean, healthy lifestyle
  • Confident swimmer

 

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a salary of $100k and a year-end bonus
