A lovely family in Los Angeles, CA are seeking a Governess/Educator to add to their team to care for their two oldest children, ages 4-years-old and 2-years-old, to begin as soon as they find the right candidate. They also have a 4-month-old, but primary care of the baby would be one of the other nannies. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, for a total of 40 hours guaranteed. The family is also open to this being a part-time role if the right candidate prefers. They are looking for someone who is organized, professional, flexible, open minded, and has a good understanding of teaching at this age and above. The family is prioritizing candidates with preschool and Montessori experience and are currently only reviewing candidates who are already local to Los Angeles, CA or the Bay Area.

• Ability to offer overall care of the children including basic care needs like dressing, feeding, and playing
• Help children reach developmental and educational milestones
• Transport children to outings and activities when needed
• Begin home schooling the children with a starter curriculum, including learning through play
• Create the beginning structure of a consistent “learning time,” while also following the children’s needs
  
• Collaborate with mom on a curriculum to help enrich the children's lives
• Teach and enrich the children's academic lives and curiosity
  
• Teach the children practical life skills, and how to be self-sufficient (think Montessori practices)
• Instill manners
• Knowledge of age-appropriate curriculum, and ability to create a daily routine where the children can grow and flourish
• Open to travel is a huge plus, but not a requirement. Creating enrichment through travel, while also maintaining a consistent routine, if candidate does travel when needed.

• Ability to swim, or at the very least feel comfortable/confident in the water with the children as the family has a pool
• CPR and First Aid Certified, or willing to certify
• Trustline Registered, or willing to register
• Legal to work in the US

• Hourly rate is competitive and depends on experience, with a range starting at $45 and up
