Overview

A family in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 2 children ages 3 and 6-years-old. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 11am-6pm, but can be extended up to 8 hours a day if needed. Eldest child is in school 8:30am-3pm every day; youngest is in school 8:30am-3:30pm every day. Parents do drop-off. No pets in the home. The parents work hybrid remote and in office. The candidate to hire must speak Spanish and English. They desire someone excited to work with older children and to be around for a while. It is not necessary to travel in the summer.

Responsibilities

Mornings

  • Do home-related tasks while the kids are at school. This includes keeping their room clean and tidy, laundry and keeping kids clothes' organized (as well has helping the parents sort clothes that don't fit anymore)
  • Cooking for children
  • Grocery shopping or child-related administrative tasks such as helping the parents research birthday party ideas


Afternoons

  • Pick the children up and take them to activities and play dates.
  • Help the parents research and come up with new activities for the children
  • Children understand Spanish; work to practice and develop Spanish language skills

Requirements

  • They need a nanny with a warm disposition, kind, engaging, collaborative, patient, smart and resourceful
  • The candidate to hire must speak Spanish and English
  • Availability to work a longer schedule from 8:30am-6pm on days when school is closed or kids are sick (e.g., spring break, religious holidays)
  • Open communication/collaborative style
  • A good amount of walking involved. No need to drive

Salary and Benefits

  • $40/hour
  • 2 weeks paid vacation: 1 week at nanny's discretion and any other weeks when the family travels (anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks per year)
  • Most major holidays off/paid
  • Monthly healthcare stipend will be considered
