Overview

A family in Manhattan with 2 children (aged 8 months and 2.5 years) is seeking a part-time or full-time mother’s helper to start in mid-May. The schedule can be flexible (either part-time or full-time) depending on the candidate’s availability and preference. The family travel to Palm Beach for a week or two in March, and spend the Summers in the Hamptons (candidates should ideally be willing to live-in with them during these months). During this time, the schedule will switch to Thursday through Monday. Candidates should ideally be comfortable traveling with the family both domestically and internationally. The family is seeking a long-term commitment from the candidate.

Responsibilities

  • The primary focus will always be the care and well-being of the children
  • Candidates should be comfortable tag-teaming with mom and pitching-in wherever required, which may extend to throwing a laundry load on, ordering groceries, simple food prep, tidying up play areas, cleaning up after breakfast, making beds etc. There is a housekeeper so no deep cleaning is required.
  • Domestic and international travel are both possible, so candidates should be passport ready.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years' verifiable experience working in the capacity of a mother’s helper
  • Must be flexible to pitch in and help mom as much as the children
  • Candidates should be warm, kind, and proactive

Requirements

  • US passport, Green Card or EAC
  • Passport ready and willing to travel
  • Willing to spend the Summer (July and August) in the Hamptons and work a Thursday through Monday schedule
  • Available to start mid-May

Salary and Benefits

  • $40-$45 per hour + all industry standard benefits
