Overview

A wonderful family of three is seeking a loving, kind, and professional nanny to care for their 1-year-old daughter. The family also has one medium-sized dog. This role requires flexibility, including both daytime and overnight hours, as well as regular travel.

Schedule & Details:

  • Approximately 20 working hours during the day, plus 2–3 overnight shifts per week
  • Overnight shifts involve caring for the child while she sleeps and handling one night feeding
  • Total weekly hours: 44–56, including overnight (sleeping) hours
  • Schedule will be communicated 1–2 weeks in advance
  • Extensive travel required: both domestic and international, averaging 2–3 weeks per trip, and totaling around 16 weeks per year
  • Live-in accommodations available full-time or only on working nights for local candidates
  • Open to local and exceptional relocation candidates
  • Position begins ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and emotional security at all times
  • Create a stimulating, warm, and joyful environment
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
  • Prepare simple meals for the child
  • Handle all child-related cleaning, laundry, and organization

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with infants and toddlers
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, and some weekends
  • Fluent in Spanish or French is a major plus
  • Professional career nanny with the ability to maintain healthy boundaries while integrating into a family dynamic
  • Confident working alongside involved parents and household staff
  • Positive, proactive, and emotionally intelligent
  • Highly organized, responsible, and trustworthy
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to "read the room"
  • Travel experience 
  • Comfortable around dogs

Requirements

  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to update ASAP)
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Non-smoker
  • Swimming is a plus, but not required
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000+, depending on experience
  • 2 weeks PTO
  • 3–5 sick days
  • Health insurance may be provided
  • End of Year Holiday Bonus
