Overview

A kind and caring family of four living in Lower Manhattan, NYC, is seeking a live-out Spanish speaking nanny to help care for their 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son. The schedule would be Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, with the option for the nanny to stay later some evenings to babysit. Their daughter goes to school in the afternoons and is extremely interested in learning languages. The candidate would be required to speak to the children in both Spanish and English to encourage their understanding.

Both parents work full-time. There are occasions when mom will also travel for work; during this time, the nanny would be required to arrive earlier in the morning, 7am approx 2-3 times a month.

The family is very organized, and the candidate should be able to organize themselves or be able to take on the current system they have in place. The parents are loving, hands-on, family-focused and have a gentle but firm (authoritative) approach to parenting, and believe consistency is key.

They are seeking a nanny with excellent communication skills with not only anything related to navigating the employee/employer relationship but also sending photos/text updates throughout the day; as well as notifying them of any issues ie. behavioral, health, something that happened at school, etc.

The family have a housekeeper, who is on hand to support and care for their son during the mornings so the nanny can take their daughter to playdates and classes. The nanny would then take responsibility for their son during the afternoon.
