Overview

A wonderful family in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a rock-star tour nanny to care for their 2-year-old son! Ideally, they would love someone who can start in April. The family is based in LA, but travels often, and will be touring in Europe May-August. They are ideally looking for someone who has experience touring with a family, or at least great experience traveling with families. The parents are very hands-on, truly love parenting, and are looking for someone who can navigate very present parents, but also has the knowledge and skills to be sole charge when needed and help keep their toddler in a good routine while traveling. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm, with the flexibility for occasional schedule changes. The position also has the possibility of becoming full-time after the tour if it is the right fit!

Responsibilities

  • Overall care of toddler
  • Extra set of hands for mom when she is home
  • Light child-related housekeeping such as baby laundry, tidying toys, organizing supplies
  • Occasional food prep
  • Knowledge of child development and able to create age appropriate activities
  • Able to help create a sense of consistency in environment while on tour
  • Help maintain a safe environment
  • Helping pack and unpack
  • Planning activities to keep him engaged
  • Maintaning routine and keeping his schedule while on tour

Qualifications

  • Friendly, down-to-earth, positive, easy to get along with
  • Go-with-the-flow mentality, but also able to maintain routine
  • Can maintain an open communication
  • Caring, loves kids
  • Respects parents wishes
  • Swimming and driving is a plus, must be able to commute to and from home on your own
  • Loves to travel

Requirements

  • Must have a valid, current Passport
  • Experience in touring and travel with kids
  • Must be able to navigate hands on parents and work as a team, and solo when needed
  • Must respect family and tour values/rules
  • Must be ok with dogs in the home
  • Trustline Certified, or willing to certify
  • CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify
  • US passport, Green Card or EAC 

Salary and Benefits

  • Hourly rate is $40+ per hour, depending on experience
  • Standard benefits offered
