Overview

A lower Manhattan family is seeking a wonderful full-time live-out nanny for their 3 children under the age of 6. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-7pm with guaranteed pay for 40 hours a week. The role will generally be 55 hours/week with overtime compensated for anything over 40 hours/week. The role starts as soon as a great fit is found. This is a fast-paced and demanding role with high expectations; proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and having a team oriented mindset while remaining calm and collected is essential in this role. The family values someone who is extremely motivated, warm and upbeat, enjoys being active, and takes initiative with the children and around the house.

Responsibilities

  • Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing loving care to the children
  • Preparing the children's meals
  • Tidying up/cleaning as it relates to the children
  • Children's laundry
  • Adhering to and helping to facilitate planned schedules, school drop offs, pick ups and participating in classes are expected, as well as partnering alongside other caregivers, house staff members, and parents.

Qualifications

  • The ability to speak Tagalog is a plus
  • A teaching background is a plus

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience caring for multiple children as a full-time nanny in a private home
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Discretion and professionalism
  • Flexibility, interest and ability to travel domestically and internationally as well as assist with occasional overnights/weekends as needed. Possible travel over some holidays and supporting the family with date nights/work events is desired.
  • A well-suited demeanor for working with children preschool and school-aged children
  • Experience with educational milestones
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence.
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, cooking, organizing, laundry, etc.).
  • Interest in working in a partnership/alongside with other caregivers and Mother in the home
  • A professional appearance and dress
  • Fluency in both oral and written English

Salary and Benefits

  • $40 per hour on the books - guarantee pay for 40 hours/week and generally the schedule will be 55 hours/week which means 15 hours/week will be paid at $60/hour. Overall annual compensation will be APPROXIMATELY $120,000-130,000 gross
