Overview

A family in the West Village is seeking a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Baby Nurse for 18-20 hours a day when their baby is born May 31, 2025. They will want the candidate to work 5 days/week for 3 months and then transition into daytime only care for 10 hours/day (8am-6pm) for 1 month. For the months of July and August, the role will be upstate at their beautiful estate. It’s a very beautiful home that has been featured in architectural magazines, has a home spa, and 27 manicured acres to explore with the baby. There is also a very charming town with coffee shops, restaurants, and bookstores.

Responsibilities

All newborn care of the baby (diapering, feeding, overseeing sleep schedule, getting the baby on a consistent sleeping schedule, grooming, dressing, bathing, etc.)
Playtime with the baby, intellectually stimulating activities, reading to baby, etc.

Requirements

Experience must include sleep training and knowledge of developmental milestones
The candidate to hire should be engaging with the child and nurturing their growth yet accepting what the parents want in how they wish their child to be raised
To be successful in this role, you must be kind, personable, easy going, and a great communicator. The parents want to maintain a happy home.
They have 1 dog so must be comfortable around pets (toy poodle, well-trained)

Salary and Benefits

$450/day for the 18-20/hours day when working as an NCS or Baby Nurse for the first 3 months, then $35/hour for when the schedule is 10 hours/day for 1 month
