Overview

Seeking an experienced and highly motivated maintenance manager to oversee the upkeep and functionality of a luxury ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) property in Paris. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the estate's facilities, including mechanical systems, appliances, landscaping, and overall property maintenance. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in property maintenance, preferably in luxury residences, hotels or similar high-end environments, and be bilingual in both English and French.

This is a live-out position with the role to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

Maintenance oversight and supervision:

  • Manage and supervise daily maintenance activities, ensuring the property remains in pristine condition.
  • Oversee a team of maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work is completed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Perform regular inspections of all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure all maintenance activities align with the overall goals of the estate.

Planning, compliance, and budgeting:

  • Maintain a detailed inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize property downtime and ensure systems are running optimally.
  • Manage budget expectations in securing quotes as directed with prior approval.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Provide bilingual support (English and French) to staff and residents as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in property maintenance, with a focus on luxury or high-end properties preferred.

  • Must be bilingual in English and French (fluent written and spoken).

  • Strong knowledge of systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry.

  • Previous experience managing and coordinating vendor maintenance teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with high-net-worth individuals, staff, and vendors in a professional manner.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours if necessary.

  • Proven track record of maintaining high standards in a luxury residential or commercial setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
