A family on the Upper East Side is seeking a structured yet loving career nanny for their 4-year-old to begin as soon as possible. The proposed schedule is Monday through Friday 10:30am-6:30pm, with a later end time on Fridays. Flexibility for the schedule is requested but overall the hours will be 35, perhaps 40, per week. Some weeks may be up to 45, but overall the hours will be around 35 per week.

• Picking up the child from school
• Taking the child to playdates, classes, activities, the park, etc.
• Travel with the family, generally during Summers and for 2-3 weeks at a time
• Helping to create structure
• Engaging in developmentally appropriate activities and games
• Child-related housekeeping and laundry
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
• Occasional family errands

• A candidate with an with ECE background, Child Psychology education, etc. is a strong bonus

• Enforcing structure and boundaries is very important to the family. A candidate who is easily walked over and lacking in structure will not be a good fit, the candidate to hire must appreciate a regimented approach for the child as this is what the family is seeking
• Must be loving and nurturing whilst remaining firm and respected
• Open communicator as the family appreciates a lot of communication
• Prior experience with children between the ages of 3-5-years-old
