A wonderful and kind family of 5 in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a part-time laundress to tend to the laundry and home organization. The school-aged children have a nanny, and the family has a weekly housekeeper. The ideal candidate can walk up and down stairs easily several times a day, as the house is five stories without a lift. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm. This is a new position, and the family is open to flexibility in the schedule if it makes sense, and their needs are being met.

• Washing, drying, and maintenance of clothing, linens, and other textiles
• Separate any dry-cleaning items, and prepare for pick up, and log items going out and returned
• Some ironing
• Closet, and household organization
• General tidying up around the house, putting items back in their place
• Rotate wardrobe seasonally or when requested, label and store appropriately

• Professional and personable
• Strong attention to detail
• Extremely organized and has tried and true systems
• Works efficiently and intuitively
• Comfortable working in a home with children (No childcare required)
• Ability to read a room
• Positive, respectful, and takes pride in their work
• Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
• Willingness to pitch in with additional household duties would be a plus

• Top-notch laundress with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well with principals in the home
• Fluent in English. Ability to speak Spanish is not required but would be a plus
• Pet Friendly – Family has a Retriever
• Physically capable of climbing 5 flights of stairs throughout the day
• Legal to work in the U.S.

The family is offering $40 to $45 per hour.
