Overview

A soon-to-be family of five in Cow Hollow, SF, is seeking a live-out Spanish speaking nanny to join them to help with their two girls and newborn, who is due mid-March! The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 11am-7pm. From 11am-3pm, the focus would be on the newborn, and then 3pm-7pm, the focus would switch to the two older daughters. The position will start around early April, when the baby will be a few weeks old.  The family prefers someone who is already local, but is open to relocating the perfect fit!  This position is hiring now for an April start!

Responsibilities

  • Prior newborn/infant care experience
  • Experience with the 7-year-old through 13-year-old age range.
  • 11am-3pm focus is on newborn care
  • 3pm-7pm focus is on the other two children
  • Being fluent in Spanish is a must! Nanny should be comfortable speaking and teaching the children to become fluent.
  • Driving- pick-up from school and handling after-school activities
  • Schedules and record-keeping
  • Weekly check-ins
  • Sharing art and education with the infant at an early age
  • Experience introducing foods to the infant when time is appropriate
  • Experience with sleep training techniques and potty training
  • Travel - there will be family travel both domestically and internationally
  • No social media posts of children/home
  • No technology around the children unless for homework
  • Helping with homework
  • Meal prep - dinner and healthy snacks
  • Cleaning up after all three children
  • Laundry for all three children
  • While there is a full-time housekeeper, the nanny will be required to help keep the kitchen (dishes/trash) and home tidy so the environment is not chaotic.   This should also be taught to the children so they learn to clean up after themselves.

Qualifications

  • Polished and presentable at all times
  • Open to date nights is a plus!

Requirements

  • Legal to work in the US
  • Trustline Certified to work in CA
  • CPR Certified and up-to-date
  • Must have a valid and clean driver's license
  • Passport-ready and comfortable traveling with infant/children
  • Playing an instrument is a requirement, preferably piano
  • Being fluent in Spanish is a must! Nanny should be comfortable speaking and teaching the children to become fluent
  • Knowledge of baby sign language or willing to learn
  • Passionate about baby brain development and current research
  • Certifications for continued education are required or a degree in early childhood education
  • Experience with sleep training techniques and potty training
  • Prior newborn/infant care experience
  • Experience with the 7-year-old through 13-year-old age range.
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Able to swim
  • Ability to help with homework
  • Meal prep/cooking dinner and healthy snacks

Salary and Benefits

The family is starting at $45/hr+ (depending on experience) and will offer benefits.
