A busy family on the Upper East Side is seeking an educated nanny for their 7-year-old child. There may be occasions, however, when the nanny is required to step-in and help with meals and care for their two older children. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with some days starting at 6:45am, ending at 8:30pm (during those days there will be down time). Other days will start around 10 or 12 and end around 8/9pm. The family has another nanny who can do a few mornings per week. A candidate who is local and flexible is ideal.

The children are in school from 8am-3pm every day so you'll start early (when needed) and help with the morning routine, the school shuffle, and drop-off.

• On days where you start early you can either take time off while the child is in school and go home or go to the gym or occasionally you'll be more hands-on during the day with miscellaneous tasks such as liaising with contractors, managing food deliveries, running errands, and more.
• You'll also be required to keep things tidy and prepare simple, Kosher-friendly meals (though there is also a housekeeper/cook).

• This is an informal household and the ideal candidate will be low-key and easygoing- a "big sister" type who can offer gentle guidance/help with homework, etc. rather than take charge and be too strict.
• A strong educational background is preferred, along with experience working with school aged children.

• Easy commute to UES
• The family travel over the Summer to the Hampton's and they take 3-4 vacations throughout the year- they would love a who is nanny willing to join from time to time.
• The ability to drive is a huge plus, for the purpose of running errands/dropping-off/picking-up (when in the Hampton's, not in the city). 

Salary for this role does depend on experience and ranges from $40 per hr and UP!!!!
