Overview

A young family living in TriBeCa (working parents and 2 children- a 3-year-old and a 4-month-old) is seeking an experienced housekeeper. The schedule will be Thursday through Monday with full time hours, live-out during weekdays and sleeping over Fridays and Saturdays. The family have a full-time nanny Monday through Friday but would like someone who can help with the kids on the weekend.

Responsibilities

The candidate should know how to clean well, wash and iron, prep food, and should enjoy spending time with young children. Other duties include:

Cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms
Vacuuming/cleaning/dusting
Tidying up clothes and doing washing and ironing
Watering plants
Organizing groceries/food prep as needed
Organizing closets/desk/tables/bookshelves
Looking after crockery, plates, silverware
Shining marble and applying treatments to floors
Simple meals on weekends for children
Setting table for dinner parties and cleaning up afterwards
Able to travel on weekends to Long Island

Qualifications

Experience working with families of 4 who have young children
Experience caring for linens, furniture, kitchen items
Ability to run errands (pantry items, flowers) or accompanying children to activities in the area
Detail-oriented and self-starter
Strong communicator
Looking to be part of a family
