Incredibly kind family of four in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles are looking for a family assistant to start ASAP. The family enjoys a calm and organized home and a welcoming team environment day to day. There are two options for schedule, depending on candidate's preference:

- part-time (25-30 hours per week) for just family assisting/house management

- full-time (40 hours per week), which would include meal prep and cooking for the family/children.

The schedule will be primarily Monday through Friday, with 30-40 hours per week usually falling between 8am-3pm, with flexibility for some tasks to be done remotely and some later afternoons needed if workers are scheduled at the home. 

• Cooking basic and healthy foods to have ready to go in the fridge such as salmon and other fish, chicken, meatballs, burger patties, various grains and pastas, roasted veggies, etc. 

• Running errands (grocery shopping 2x per week, dry cleaning drop off/pick up, returns, shopping for household items, picking up various requested items, etc.)

• Keep household and pantry items stocked 

• Handle returns 

• Help keep the house and kitchen tidy (empty/load dishwasher, take out trash/recycling, return items to their proper place, fold couch blankets, etc.). Everyone works together to maintain a clean and tidy home

• Bring in empty trash bins and bring in and unbox packages and deliveries  

• Organize cabinets/closets and maintain existing organizational systems  

• Coordinate with regular household vendors (landscapers, pool company, flower delivery, pest control, car wash, etc.) and buzz in delivery people

• Manage house projects

• Assist with putting up and removing holiday decor

• Assemble small furniture items (desk chair, children's gear, etc.)

• Stay on top of cleaning cycles and refilling needed elements like salt for things like washing machine, dishwashers, Dyson humidifiers, etc.

• Admin tasks such as paying bills, scheduling appointments or reservations, and scheduling house maintenance or repairs

• Dog care: feeding, taking to vet appointments or groomers, etc. 

• Vehicle upkeep: schedule and take cars in for maintenance, fill cars with gas or take them to be washed if needed

• Assist with maintaining the nanny and grandparent apartment (also in Brentwood): picking up new keys, scheduling and letting in housecleaner, etc.

• Schedule and meet vendors for events and oversee set up/breakdown

• Schedule and oversee delivery/assembly of large items or furniture

• Potential to assist with the parent's business if interested 

• Potential for house and/or dog sitting when family travels 

• Strong communicator and team player: the family assistant will be working alongside a housekeeper and nannies, as well as a house management company for bigger projects. 
• Organized, proactive, able to jump in to help out wherever needed with little direction. Everyone works as a team to help where needed 

• Comfortable with a friendly large dog and young children (under 3 years old)
• Tech savvy: Knowledgeable of computer systems, including Google Suite and calendaring, and smart house controls 
• OK with driving being a big part of the job 
• Within commuting distance of Brentwood/westside of Los Angeles 
• Looking for a long-term commitment; their previous assistant was with them for over 2 years 
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record; mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS mileage reimbursement rate
• Legal to work in the US

$40+ per hour depending on experience and background
