Overview

A single mom in Annandale, NJ is seeking a live-in career nanny to help care for 3 children ages 10, 8, and 7-months-old. The schedule is 40 hours per week, typically Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 12pm-8pm, Wednesday 12pm-8pm, Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday OFF, Saturday 7am-3pm, and Sunday OFF. The Monday/Thursday/Saturday schedule is fixed while the Tuesday/Wednesday schedule is flexible and/or can alternate with Friday.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • All aspects of infant care including feeding, bathing, changing diapers, adhering to a nap schedule
  • Basic meal preparation for the whole family 1-2 nights per week
  • Carpooling and spending time with older children
  • Homework suppor
  • Assisting mom with household tasks and providing an extra set of hands in the afternoon and evening
  • Occasional errands

Requirements

  • Candidate must be comfortable with pets (one gentle but large dog) and be comfortable with nature and sure-footed on un-even terrain (property is a working farm, children spend significant time outside)
  • Candidate must have a driver's license. A car will be provided for transporting the children and may be used by the candidate on days off if they do not have a vehicle
  • Travel with the family domestically and internationally 

Salary and Benefits

  • $30-35/hr
  • 2 weeks paid vacation and 5 sick days
  • Housing will be provided for the candidate. Initially the candidate will stay in a private guest suite in the main house but in Summer 2025 a private cottage on the property will be available for lodging
  • Overtime hours (late evenings/nighttime) can be negotiated on a week-by-week basis if necessary/desired.
