Overview

A principal seeks a proactive live-in House Manager for a large property in Miami, Florida. This is a live-in position with a separate apartment on the property. The candidates will work directly with the principal. You must have a strong command of the English language and the ability to speak Spanish is a huge plus. You must be able to take direction as well as be proactive.  This is not a 9-5pm job, but more on-demand while the principal is in town and more flexible when he is away traveling.

Responsibilities

  • General handyman tasks within the home and grounds, overseeing day-to-day operations and management of the household
  • Maintain the exterior of the home, property, cars, fix anything that needs repair and/or deal with the appropriate vendors, and follow maintenance protocols for monthly/seasonal/annual checklists of the home, grounds, and structures
  • scheduling, vetting, and overseeing of service trades, keeping track of inventory and household supplies and ensuring items are stocked and replenished in a timely manner,
  • Their ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, believes no job is too big or too small, is proactive, works intuitively, has a keen eye for detail and has experience with keeping a property in top-notch condition.
  • Some travel is required to his East Hampton and Washington, DC homes
  • A successful candidate will have at least some handyman experience or background, can change a light-bulb, hang a photo, fix a leaky faucet, and know when to call a pro, and will utilize their proficiency in computer skills to keep appropriate maintenance logs and documentation current.

 

Qualifications

  • The ability to speak Spanish is a huge plus
