A warm family in Cranston, RI (outside of Providence) are seeking a full-time TEMP nanny for an 8-day contract for their 6-year-old daughter while their usual nanny is on vacation. The dates are January 24-31. The family is providing a private room and bathroom for the candidate plus access to a car. The position will be on-call 24/7 for the duration including overnight as the parents will be working shift as doctors and studying for an exam or sleeping when off. The child will be attending school on the week days so during that time the candidate will prep dinner, come up with activities, and possibly run errands (grocery shopping, etc.). There will be some downtime but the candidate will be expected to be call and MUST be available if the child is sick, school closes, etc. The ideal candidate has the perfect balance of energy and experience, somebody who can engage with the child and occupy her (games, arts and crafts, etc.)

• Overall care of the child, including helping get her ready for school, school drop-offs and pick-ups, helping with homework, and getting her ready for bed/evening routine
• Transportation to and from school, playdates, and activities using provided car 
• Meal prep and cooking breakfast, snacks, and easy dinners for the child. It would be much appreciated if the nanny was open to making extra for the parents if possible 
• Being responsible overnight in case anything comes up 

• Someone energetic, warm, caring. 
  
• Self starter and proactive who can hit the ground running for a temporary position

• Open communication and able to navigate parents being in and out but needing to sleep/have minimal interruptions when home 
  
• Experience with school age children 
• Valid US drivers license, a car will be provided
• Ability to get to Cranston via train or car/already on the east coast 

$3000 for the duration of the shift
