Overview

A busy family in Wellesley, MA, near Boston, is seeking a full-time nanny to help with their seven-month-old son. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, roughly 10am-2pm, but the hours may be extended each week depending on the parents' schedule. Each week, it will be somewhere between 30 and 40 hours. In addition, they would like someone open to a weekend once a month. The position is hiring immediately.  The clients would love to find someone already living locally in the Boston area.

Responsibilities

  • Care for a 7-month-old: feeding, bathing, changing
  • Meal prep for child
  • Children's laundry and child-related organization
  • Light errands for the family and household
  • Keeping children and common areas tidy after use
  • Manage the child's wardrobe
  • Walk and feed the family dogs
  • Take the child to activities outside of the home
  • Provide an engaging and enriching environment with age-appropriate activities 

Requirements

  • Legal to work in the US
  • Nurturing, loving, upbeat, health-conscious, and flexible (this is key)
  • Must love dogs! The family has two large dogs who are a part of the family
  • Loves spending time with babies/toddlers and has knowledge of developmental milestones
  • Looking for a long-term position
  • Honest, diligent, responsible, courteous, and discreet
  • Positive, pleasant personality, and very energetic
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record- the family will provide a car for work use 
  • Previous full-time/long-term experience is a must
  • Willingness to travel approximately once per month (the family has homes on the Cape and in Florida)

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering $40-45 an hour, depending on the candidate and their experience and the following benefits:

  • $40-45+/hr. DOE
  • 20 days of PTO- most of the family's choosing, but they are flexible for requested days off 
  • Paid holidays
  • Annual discretionary bonus
