Overview

A wonderful young family in Scarsdale, New York is seeking a part-time housekeeper to support them. The schedule will ideally be Monday through Friday in the afternoons, for 4 hours each day (130-530pm or 2-6pm, for example) and a total of 20 hours guaranteed per week. They are seeking someone with experience in high end homes who is looking for a family to be with for many years to come. There is room to grow in this role- it has the potential to evolve into a full-time position

Responsibilities

  • All housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning of the bathrooms and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Regular deep cleaning; window sills, skirting boards, glassware, appliances, etc
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Unboxing deliveries and groceries 
  • Stocking and restocking household products and keeping track of inventory 

Qualifications

  • Detail oriented, museum quality cleaning
  • Proactive, with an ownership mentality
  • Warm and kind
  • Excellent communication
  • Family-friendly - this is not a childcare position, but there is a young child in the home and the candidate should feel comfortable working around them

Requirements

  • Must have a very strong organizational and presentation mindset with the home kept styled as designated by the couple 
  • Fluent in English
  • Longevity in previous roles
  • Experience in high-end homes
  • Familiarity with luxury fabrics and furnishings
  • Seeking a long-term commitment
  • Legal to work in the US
  • Willingness to get yearly flu and covid vaccines
  • OK working in a home that uses natural products 

Salary and Benefits

$30-40 per hour plus standard benefits
