Overview

A lovely family in San Francisco, CA are seeking a back-up nanny to join their team to care for their 2-year-old son. This nanny will be on retainer throughout the year and will work a minimum of 12 weeks of the year when their nannies are on vacation, or out for illness. The nanny team works on a rotational schedule of 7 days on/off, 7am-7pm, live-out, and this nanny would maintain that schedule. While the vacation weeks will be planned, and the back-up nanny will be given as much notice as possible for their work weeks, some work will be last minute, and the nanny would need to be available for both the scheduled and last-minute coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall care to their toddler
  • Able to step in and maintain the routine and consistency of care
  • Provide fun age-appropriate activities, supervising any activities that might come up, go on walks, encourage developmental play, help with developmental milestones
  • Prepare food/meals
  • Child related light housekeeping to help maintain an organized space, including laundry, sanitizing toys, and helping tidy kid spaces

Qualifications

  • Passionate about the work
  • Able to maintain professionalism while also being a warm and encouraging presence
  • Energetic
  • Team-player
  • Remains present with their son

Requirements

  • Toddler experience with at least 3 references  
  • Experience doing temp roles
  • Up to date on all vaccinations, or willing to update before start date.
  • CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify
  • TrustLine certified, or willing to certify
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

  • A retainer of $60k for a minimum of 12 work weeks
