Overview

A warm family of four is seeking a part-time or full-time child-friendly housekeeper/cook to maintain their 2,500 square foot home on the Upper West Side. The schedule can either be 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or 5 days (Monday through Friday) from 12 noon-8pm. Candidates should be flexible to accommodate occasional changes to this schedule, with notice (e.g. if the parents have a dinner party or a date night etc.). There is a weekday and weekend nanny employed by the family, so the candidate should be willing to work alongside them harmoniously and cohesively.

  • All housekeeping, including deep cleaning and daily tidying
  • All family laundry and dry cleaning drop off/ pick up
  • Loading the dishwasher and tidying up the kitchen at the end of the day
  • Simple, healthy food prep (protein + vegetables, no allergies) for the parents only - the children have a nanny who will manage their meals
  • Local errands, such as dropping off dry-cleaning or sending packages
  • Grocery shopping as needed
  • Admitting and supervising vendors in the home
  • Very occasional childcare (children are 3 and 5 years old) if the nannies are sick or running late

Qualifications

  • Family friendly- this is not a childcare position, but there are children in the home and the candidate should feel comfortable working with and around them, as well as helping with their care very occasionally
  • Proactive and detail-oriented
  • Warm and kind
  • Trustworthy and professional with verifiable references

Requirements

  • COVID vaccinated
  • Experience working in a household with children

Salary and Benefits

  • $45+/hr + all industry standard benefits
