Overview

A lovely family in Tribeca is seeking a Mandarin-Speaking career nanny/family assistant for their two children, ages 4 and 1. The schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, 12-8pm, with some flexibility for additional hours during school holidays or for an occasional date night. Any schedule changes will be communicated well in advance. Both children will be in school full-time, so candidates should be comfortable handling family assistant duties from 12-3pm. 

Responsibilities

  • Transporting the children home from school and to extracurriculars
  • Proactively planning outings and playdates
  • Handling child-related organization and tidying
  • Errands and grocery shopping
  • Preparing simple but healthy meals and snacks for the children
  • Keeping in communication about daily plans
  • Coordinating schedule, researching activities, and making appointments 

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working as a team with a full-time housekeeper and a work-from-home parent
  • Proactive and able to be full-charge- parents are not interested in micromanaging
  • Energetic and engaging
  • Developmentally aware, and able to provide a stimulating and enriching environment 

Requirements

  • Experience with multiple young children 
  • Mandarin speaking is REQUIRED for this role 
  • Driving is highly desired but NOT required
  • Occasional travel- domestic and international, up to a week
  • Willing to work at their other home in NJ on occasion, including for up to a week in the summer 
  • History of longevity, and looking for a long-term commitment 

Salary and Benefits

  • $40-55/hr. 
  • 2 weeks PTO
