An active family in Darien, Connecticut is seeking a professional, pet-friendly nanny / family assistant to join them in caring for their 2-year-old son, with a second child expected this spring. Their toddler is described as energetic, curious, and always on the move, and the family prioritizes a healthy, outdoor-focused lifestyle with daily time spent playing outside, including exploring in their large, gated yard.
The schedule will fall between 7/8am-4/5pm and the family will guarantee 40–45 hours per week.
The role will be Monday - Friday and flexibility for regular date nights and occasional weekend coverage is essential to the role.

Support infant care once the baby reaches approximately 5 months of age
Create engaging, screen-free days
Implement a guided, Montessori-based daily rhythm, including structured learning activities
Prioritize outdoor play whenever possible, including active play in all weather and supervised swimming in the family pool.
Prepare fresh, healthy, and creative meals for the toddler (preferably not reheated from frozen meals).
Drive the child and family dog as needed for errands and activities using the family-provided vehicle.
Cover weekly date nights and the occasional weekend day.
Flex into family assistant support when parents are hands-on, including family laundry, light organization projects, unloading groceries, walking the dog, or running errands.
