Overview

A family in Cow Hollow/Pacific Heights, San Francisco, is seeking an experienced full-time live-in nanny for their 15-month-old daughter. The position will start as soon as the right fit is found. The initial schedule is projected to be Monday through Friday from approximately 9am-5pm for about 40 hours weekly to start, with flexibility for date nights, weekends, and occasional travel with the family. This role is not just about nanny duties; it’s about being an integral part of the family. When the child does not require care, the candidate should take the initiative to help around the house (as do the parents), ensuring that the home is a welcoming and well-maintained space. The father works in an office four days a week and works from home one day a week. The Mother is currently taking a career break for a few months, so it's to be determined on future work set up for her. Both parents have a home office on another floor of the spacious home. There are no pets in the home. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely wants to be a part of the family, contributing to a positive, supportive home environment while caring for a wonderful child.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging the child in activities and outings, such as trips to the park and classes (driving is not required but is ideal; the family is willing to provide a car)
  • Preparing meals for the child and cleaning up afterward (the Mother also prepares food)
  • Managing the child’s laundry and keeping the child’s spaces and play areas tidy
  • Assisting with household tasks as time permits, such as light cleaning, organizing, and helping maintain a tidy and pleasant home environment

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate for this role is loving, energetic, easy going and motivated to keep up with an active early toddler, engaging her in outdoor activities and indoor play (screen free)
  • They should be flexible, honest, and open with feedback, ideally with previous live-in experience
  • In addition to caring for the child, the ideal candidate is proactive, hard-working, and committed to contributing to the household

Salary and Benefits

  • Live-in accommodations include a private bedroom and bathroom
  • Two weeks of paid vacation
  • Major holidays off and paid
  • Parking is available in a garage or on the street
