A generous and busy family with a one-year-old and six-year-old in Millbrook, New York (90 minutes outside of the city) is looking for a live-in weekend nanny to start anytime between October and the end of December. The ideal schedule would be arriving at the home around 11am Friday and leaving around 4pm Sunday (the nanny will have the baby monitor overnight- the children both sleep through the night but if they do wake up, the nanny would attend to them).

Each weekend will look different but this family values open communication and Mom will give you the plan for the day ahead of time. Sometimes both parents are busy and the nanny will be sole charge with the children while other times parents are with the children. There will be times the nanny and family will go on adventures together: apple picking, lunch out, etc. The family keeps a happy house but values respect, kindness, responsibility, and manners. 

• Full childcare including helping with daily routines, reaching milestones, and fostering independence (think Montessori style)
• Cooking and laundry for the children 
• Child-related tidying up and organizing, especially at the end of the day (play areas, kitchen, children's bedrooms)

• The children love being outdoors and being active outside no matter the weather. The family's house is on 100 acres so a love of nature and exploring the outdoors is essential!
• They are hoping to find someone who loves what they do and wants a long-term fit. 
• Comfortable partnering with involved parents but also able to happily and easily be sole charge of both children and require little guidance on the day-to-day routine once in the position. The children have a wonderful routine in place that works well. 
• Warm, nurturing, patient, and playful personality.
• There will be opportunities for travel if the weekend nanny is interested but the travel is not required

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; must have reliable transportation to and from the house. Family car will be provided for on the job driving 
• Looking for a long-term commitment; the family's previous weekend nanny was with them for 6 years
• Legal to work in the US
• Candidates must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing 
• Confident swimmer and comfortable in the water with young children 
• Comfortable with dogs; there is a small, loving dog in the home 

• $30-40 per hour, guaranteed pay for 52 weeks a year 
• Will reimburse transportation to and from the house if coming from the city
• 2 paid weekends off per year (family is flexible for additional time off with notice but need a candidate willing to commit to the majority of weekends)
