Seeking an experienced, flexible and adaptable maternity nurse for second-time parents based in Kensington, London.  Mum is due with twins in February, 2025, so the maternity nurse will need to be available from around 5th February for 6 or so months.  The parents are looking for 20/7 cover and are open to one live-in maternity nurse covering them for the entire period, or hiring separate day and night nurses, in which case the position will be live-out.  

The parents will be around and involved when possible, and please bear in mind that they already have one child.  Responsibilities will therefore involve tag teaming with the parents when required, and being prepared to do whatever is needed to ensure a happy, healthy and settled baby:

• All aspects of infant care
• Maintaining a sleep and feeding schedule, helping Mum with breastfeeding and/or bottles if needed
• Preparing purees and baby food, supporting the eventual weaning process
• Implementing an effective sleep routine that the family can follow once the position ends
• Creating an engaging and stimulating environment
• Keeping the baby's items tidy and organised, keeping on top of baby's laundry
• Planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby, while respecting the family’s personal preferences

• Friendly, personable, with the ability to read the room
• Effective communicator, comfortable working to support the parents' preferences and happy to take direction
• Calm demeanor and pitch-in mentality
• Hands on and resourceful but also knows when to give the family space

• Must be available from start of February for 6 months
• Must be prepared to travel with the family if required
• Extensive experience (including with newborn twins), and sterling references
