Overview

A warm and welcoming family seek a live-out career nanny/governess to support their three children aged 8, 5, and 3.5-years-old.  The  schedule will be Monday through Friday, 12pm-8pm, with some extra weekend hours required when one of the parents is travelling.

Responsibilities

This will be a busy role supporting the health, well-being, and happiness of the children, and will involve a tag-team approach to care, as Mum works from home.  Candidates will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the children with their homework
  • Helping with preparation for future tests (11+)
  • Helping their youngest child get ready for school and the workload that is likely to come with that
  • Keeping the children's areas tidy and organised
  • Making sure uniforms etc. are ready for the next day
  • Scheduling playdates and activities
  • Light cooking for the children
  • Nurturing their curiosity and creativity, and generally being a wonderful, calming but positive influence in their lives

Qualifications

  • A professional demeanour, longevity in roles, and a real love for children and for engaging, supporting and nurturing their development is a priority
  • French or Polish speaking candidates would be welcomed
  • A background in education and familiarity with tutoring would be appreciated

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is friendly, engaging, and gentle, and is familiar with all that London has to offer families
  • A warm, fun disposition is essential and it would definitely be helpful if candidates are organised and active
  • Please be consistent, reliable, 3 steps ahead at all times and completely un-phased at managing the hectic schedules of 3 young children
  • The governess should expect regular domestic and international travel during the school holidays and while a driver isn't essential, it would be a bonus
  • Note also that hours will increase during half terms and holidays
