Overview

A family in Miami Beach is seeking an educated ROTA nanny/ governess to join their nanny team in caring for their 3-year-old twins. The schedule will be 1 week on/1 week off, with flexibility to switch this up from time to time in order to cover the other nannies if they are sick/on vacation, etc. Candidates should be exceptionally structured, organized, and able to implement a daily learning schedule for both children after they finish school at midday Monday-Friday, and on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the toddlers’ safety and well-being at all times
  • Work as a team and in harmony with the other nannies, and foster a positive and supportive work environment, where everyone contributes
  • Spend structured time with the children in an educational/learning capacity each day
  • Design a schedule of activities (inside and outside the home) that foster creativity, help them master fine and gross motor skills, language, numbers etc., and generally ensure they are on track and challenged developmentally.
  • Instill discipline, etiquette and clear boundaries - this family does agree with time-outs, so only those candidates who align with this childcare approach should apply
  • Ensure that the children keep to their daily routine
  • Prepare simple, healthy meals for the toddlers
  • Be confident driving the toddlers to school (where they are enrolled 5 days per week) and local activities

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5-10 years' verifiable experience working in a similar role, with superlative references
  • Verifiable experience designing and implementing a daily learning schedule with children in this age group is non-negotiable
  • Candidates must ideally either have a formal teaching background or at least have verifiable teaching experience that they can draw upon
  • Well organized, type-A personalities would thrive best in this role

Requirements

  • US passport, Green Card or EAC
  • Passport ready and willing to travel (the family spend June, July and August in New York)
  • Available to start ASAP

Salary and Benefits

  • $170,000k+/ year
  • The family will provide separate accommodation for those candidates who do not live locally to them, if it’s a perfect fit
  • Healthcare stipend + all other industry standard benefits
