Overview

A delightful family of four in Brooklyn is on the lookout for a caring and energetic part-time nanny to join their home. They need someone to help care for their charming 3-year-old son and sweet 1.5-year-old daughter. This is a live-out position with a schedule of two days per week, from 8am to 6pm plus occasional nights as discussed in advance.

In this role, you'll be an important part of their daily routine, taking care of everything related to the children's needs. You'll be caring for either/or both children each day, and Mom will be at home some days, sharing in the care. 

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include preparing nutritious meals for the family, keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy, and handling their laundry. There’s a full-time housekeeper for the rest of the household chores. 

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience with young children, and a degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
  • You should be someone who can engage the children, support their educational milestones, and create a nurturing environment while setting appropriate boundaries.
  • They’re looking for someone who will stay and grow with the family as the children develop. 

Requirements

  • It is a busy yet relaxed household, and the family are looking for someone who is proactive, fun, and generally cares for children.
  • The position is to start in September.
  • The family occasionally travels for up to a month and would love for you to join them for a minimum of two weeks once a year. Dates will be planned in advance.
