Seeking an experienced, discreet, and friendly live-out (preferably) housekeeper for a busy family of 6 in Locust Valley, Long Island. The family would love for someone to start asap.  At this stage the schedule is likely to be Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm (with a one hour lunchbreak), however please bear in mind that the home and set up are new, so things may change.  The housekeeper will report to the property manager, and will also work alongside a houseman and caretaker.

The housekeeper will be responsible for the interior of the 14,000sq ft property and duties will include:

 - General cleaning and tidying, including dusting, mopping and vacuuming

 - Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and organised

 - Establishing a warm, welcoming and pristine environment throughout

 - Preparing bedrooms for guests

 - Evening turndowns

 - Laundry and ironing

 - Home and wardrobe organisation

 - Deep cleaning (although there will always be help with this)

 - Liaising with an external company that will help with temporary staff when required

 - Errands and online ordering

 - Candidates must love dogs (the family have two very friendly ones!)

 - A driver would also be preferred

 - Positive, 'pitch-in' and service-orientated personality

 - Friendly, effective communicator with a real 'can-do' attitude

 - Must be happy working around a busy family who are always on the go

 - Plenty of experience in a similar role and excellent references

 - From $40/hr, depending on experience
