Overview

A lovely couple in Midtown Manhattan are looking for an experienced part-time nanny for their first baby, due in October.  The schedule will be 9:00am - 5:0opm Wednesday and Thursdays and 9:00am - 1:00pm Fridays, with some flexibility for additional hours. The candidate should be available starting October 15, 2024 and runs for 14 weeks ending January 17, 2025 .

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times 
  • Overall care of the baby 
  • Help ensure the baby is on a feeding routine, helping mom with breastfeeding if she chooses, and assisting with bottles if needed
  • Implementing an effective sleep routine that the family can follow once the term ends
  • Supporting the family in their new role as first-time parents 
  • Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby, while respecting the family’s personal preferences
  • Assist with baby related tasks such as washing and sanitizing baby products, laundry, organizing, etc

 

Qualifications

  • Friendly, personable, with the ability to read the room. 
  • Calm demeanor, who can fit into a laid-back and relaxed household 
  • Hands on and resourceful but also knows when to give the family space
  • NCS  preferred but not required
  • Work closely with parents on establishing and maintaining routines 

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable around dogs. 
  • Must be non-smoker, including vaping
  • At least 5 years' verifiable experience working with infants
  • US passport, Green Card or EAC 
  • Up to date on Covid/ Flu/RSV/TDap and MMR vaccinations
  • Available to start October 15 2024 and commit for 14 weeks with end date of January 17, 2025
  • Excellent verifiable references

Salary and Benefits

  • $45/hr.
