A family in Lafayette, CA is seeking a wonderful nanny for their two children ages 8-years-old and 2-years-old. Lafayette is a 20 minute train or 25 minute car ride away from San Francisco. The role can be live-out or live-in (with separate housing on property from the family's home). The schedule is more part-time at 27.5 hours a week, but they can bring in family assistant duties during the day when the children are in school to bring the hours up to 30-35 a week. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am-9am and then 2:30pm-5pm (27.5 hours a week) but again, having the nanny do family assistant duties when the children are in school during the day would be helpful and bring the hours up to 30-35. There will be later evenings at times as well if the parents have an evening meeting or something comes up so being flexible is needed for this role. The morning hours are focused on getting the children ready and off to school and the afternoon hours are school pick-up and taking to/from activities. The 2-year-old is in preschool until 5pm so the after-school care is mainly for the 8-year-old. Both parents work full-time and mostly out of the house all day during the day. They are open to a candidate relocating from another state for this role.

• Getting the children up in the morning; grooming, dressing, hygiene, breakfast, backpacks, etc. and driving them to school (family will provide a car)
• When the children are in school, doing their laundry, tidying their spaces, snack and meal prep for the children, etc.
• Picking them up from school
• Driving to/from activities
• Being active with the children, playing with them
• Doing homework help as needed/if necessary
• Keeping up with school/sport/activities, etc. communications that the Mother will send to the nanny; must review, read, and be on top of the children's schedule management and anything they may need for any activities or school
• Overseeing milestones, such as when the youngest begins potty-training soon
• They sometimes go to their beach home in CA so being available if asked to come would be needed

• Spanish-speaking a bonus but not a requirement
• They want someone with a lot of expertise; a career nanny who wants to be with a family for a long time

The family is seeking a nanny who is:

• Very clean and tidy. They like organization and have cleaners every other week to clean the whole house including the nanny’s cottage but they really appreciate the nanny taking the initiative to clean up and keep things clean
• Outgoing and positive, not too reserved. That being said, they like that their current nanny heads to her house and leaves them alone to unwind after a long day
• Vigilant about the children's safety and wellbeing
• A swimmer as they have a pool and must be swim safe
• Sporty and active who is in motion all day like they are
• Shares their same values of hard work, tough mindedness, gratitude, respect, and goal setting.
• Structured but fun and brings a sense of energy and love to their work. Also someone clean and orderly because they are.
• Little kid qualified, their son is running around and they need someone who can keep him safe
• Safe driver as the nanny will be driving the children a lot
• Detail oriented so the nanny can read school communication and keep all the pick ups and drop offs organized
• Passionate about working with children and likes to take them places, teach them new things, come up with activities to do at home that help them learn or engage
• Someone who can structure more learning time like getting their daughter to do some of her reading activities and getting their son to start being more independent like brushing his teeth on his own

• The role can be live-out at $40-45/hour OR live-in at $35-40/hour
• If live-in, the nanny will have a private living space with own kitchenette so nanny can live independently and utilities will be covered
• If live-in, they will provide a car for the nanny and insurance for the car
• If live-in, a cell phone will be provided
• Monthly healthcare stipend will be considered and amount TBD
• 2 weeks' vacation
• Major holidays off and paid (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
