Overview

A quiet, growing, bilingual family in Rye, NY is looking for a full-time nanny.  Hours would be 8:30am through 5:30pm five days per week including one weekend day. The family has a three-year-old son and are expecting a baby in August.  The mother stays home and is Japanese speaking and the father works outside the home.  They have a full-time housekeeper and will have a newborn care specialist for the first three months to assist with the baby.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to;
  • Providing all aspects of childcare while creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for son and baby (once three-months-old)
  • Assist with the morning routine and driving son to and from school and additional activities; Japanese school, park, etc
  • The caregiver should practice common sense and take initiative to accomplish tasks and make decisions 
  • They will also be required to maintain communication with the parents and work well with the mother and as part of a team
  • Maintain a clean and tidy area for children to play and learn inclusive of children's laundry 
 

Qualifications

 

  • Assist with meal and meal prep as time and ability allows
  • Experience with children under 6 months
  • Excellent references from current and previous employers

Requirements

  • Native English speaking
  • Ability to Swim
  • Valid and Clean Drivers license 
  • Legal to work in US

Salary and Benefits

  • Compensation for this role does depend on experience and ranges from $35-$40 per hour plus some benefits
