Overview

A busy family on the Upper East Side is looking for an experienced full-time, live-in, Fleuntly French-speaking nanny for their four young children; one going into kindergarten, twins going into pre-K, and one in nursery.   The schedule is 5 days per week with the ability to travel internationally with the family.  The mother stays home and the father works outside of the home. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to providing all aspects of childcare while creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
  • Fluent in French and able to teach children french, as spoken in France
  • Planning educational and recreational activities, as well as ensuring the safety of the children at all times
  • Managing children's day-to-day schedule
  • The caregiver should practice common sense and take initiative to accomplish tasks and make decisions
  • They will also be required to maintain a constant line of communication, reporting to the parents

Qualifications

 

  • The ideal candidate loves children, understands their social and emotional needs, is able to integrate learning into play-time, and is eager to work
  • The chosen candidate should be able to pro-actively anticipate the needs of the children and family
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Drivers license 

Requirements

 

  • Fluent in French, as spoken in France
  • Excellent references from current and previous employers
  • Hold a Valid Passport and be able to travel domestically and internationally 
  • Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

 

  • Compensation for this role does depend on experience and ranges from $35-$45 per hour plus some benefits
