Overview

A busy professional family in Westport, CT is seeking a full-time live-in nanny to assist with their two daughters, ages 4-months and 2.5 years. The schedule for this position will likely be Monday through Friday, 7am-7pm. The accommodations for this position are a private bedroom and bathroom on the same floor as the children. The family is ideally looking for someone who wants to live-in 5 days, but would be willing to consider a 7-day live-in for the perfect fit.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of childcare for two children
  • Children’s laundry
  • Coordinate naps, meals/feedings
  • Schedulling activities/playdates
  • Driving to/from activities
  • Managing baths and bed time
  • Organization of childrens’ rooms and play areas
  • Washing pump/bottle parts.
  • Meal prep- basic meals for the family several times per week 
  • No screen time for kids.
  • Coordinate with part-time cleaner 
  • Order supplies and groceries as needed
  • Running errands 
  • Light cleaning of common areas, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trash 

Qualifications

  • Energetic and proactive
  • Newborn and toddler experience
  • Positive attitude
  • Comfortable with work at home parents who are in and out during the day
  • Organized problem-solver- the parents do not want to micromanage
  • Open, warm, and kind
  • Ability to keep busy if parents or grandparents are spending time with children

Requirements

  • Non-smoker 
  • Ability to join for travel and can do overnights at home without parents (not frequent)
  • CPR Certified (or willing to get certified prior to starting the position)
  • Bilingual (NOT required but highly desired)
  • Flu and Tdap vaccinated
  • Ability to swim
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Salary and Benefits

  • 28-32/hr. with OT, $100-120k annually
  • Health insurance stipend 
  • PTO and federal holidays
