A kind and young family of three in Raleigh (Cary), North Carolina is looking for a part-time nanny for their toddler daughter. The start date would be as soon as they find the right fit. The ideal schedule is two full days per week (8 hours each day), ideally Thursday and Friday but the family is flexible on which two days as long as they are the same each week. Their philosophy around their daughter includes respectful boundaries, clear communication, and treating her as a person. 

• Full childcare of their daughter including playtime, meal times, putting her down for naps, neighborhood walks to the park, library, etc. 
• Child laundry and cooking simple child-friendly meals 
• Help the family find and maintain their daily/weekly rhythm as mom starts to be away from home a bit more 

• Approachable, cheerful, mindful demeanor
• Ideal candidate is worldly, well read, has a broader world view, sense of humor, kind, knowledgeable about child development and upcoming milestones
• Open to adding more hours as their family grows (if candidate is interested in more hours) as they plan to have at least one more child
• Potential for travel 1-2 times per year if the candidate is interested 
• Familiarity with the book "Bringing up Bebe" by Pamela Druckerman (nice to have)

• Comfortable putting in and taking out hearing aids; their daughter was born with moderate hearing loss and requires hearing aids to hear well 
• Impeccable communication skills including clear speech to aid in their daughter's development 
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Water safe and competent swimmer, their neighborhood has a community pool they love to use 
• Legal to work in the US

$30+ per hour plus standard benefits
