Overview

A kind and fun-loving family located in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco is looking for a full-time nanny for their almost one-year-old son. They are looking to fill 40 hours per week with the general schedule being Monday through Friday 8:30am-430pm, with the occasional date night if the nanny is open to it. This family practices play-based and respectful parenting and looks for a nanny who is open to learning about this way of parenting if not already familiar. 

Responsibilities

  • Full childcare for an active soon-to-be toddler
  • Some light child cooking/meal prep when Mom is not able to cook
  • Folding the child's clean clothes and putting them away 

Qualifications

  • A nanny who follows baby’s cues, sets healthy boundaries and encourages him to learn from the world and be curious and adventurous
  • Safety conscious and has good judgment (encourage the child to explore but let parents know if there are any injuries or accidents) 
  • These parents are looking for a teammate who will bring ideas to the table and have conversations about upcoming milestones and developmental stages  
  • Proactive and reliable 
  • Tech savvy and good communicator 
  • Comfortable with a work-from-home parent but also able to be sole charge of their son and require little guidance on the day-to-day routine 
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (family car will be provided for any on-the-job driving and parking will be provided for the nanny's car)

Requirements

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn respectful care-giving such as RIE, Montessori, or Reggio 
  • Practices cleanliness and good hygiene for self and the baby
  • Up to date Flu, Tdap, and MMR vaccines; COVID vaccine preferred but not required 

Salary and Benefits

$35-45 per hour plus standard benefits including paid time off, sick days, and paid holidays
