Overview

A family in Noe Valley, San Francisco, is seeking a superlative, long-term career nanny/family assistant for their two children, aged 2.5 and 5-years-old. The schedule will be 58 hours per week, from 7:30am-6:30pm, Monday through Friday, and 3 hours each Friday evening to cover date nights.

Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and secure environment for the children
  • Prioritize the children's care and well-being at all times
  • Help with the AM and PM routine/school drop-off/pick-up, and transporting the children to activities and play-dates etc.
  • Simple food prep (ideally for the broader family- this doesn’t have to be gourmet at all)
  • Manage the children’s laundry in tandem with the family’s housekeeper
  • Assist with organizing schedules and activities, as required
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors, as required
  • Ensure the home is well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Run various errands, manage the weekly grocery shop, keep the home tidy, assist with organizational projects, and more
  • Generally ensuring the family’s day-to-day life functions smoothly

Qualifications

  • Have the ability and willingness to be an extension of the parents and help them raise warm, loving, smart, well-mannered, independent, and curious children
  • Have a high EQ regarding the nuances of a family
  • Be able to anticipate the family’s needs- learn their habits and deep dive into their preferences
  • Want to be part of a family unit- this family wants the candidate to maintain professional boundaries but not be too formal/rigid (e.g. they want this candidate to feel comfortable enough to sit with them at the dinner table)
  • Attention to detail, a hospitality mindset, and organizational skills are key to thriving in this position

Requirements

  • Travel Ready: must be willing to travel 4-5x/yr for 1-3 weeks at a time (additional compensation, own room, and space will be provided, and all food/expenses will be paid for during the trip)
  • Willing to be paid via payroll (W2)
  • Have a clean and current driving license
  • COVID vaccinated and boosted, as well as be up to date on Flu, RSV, and MMR vaccinations
  • Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

  • $115-125k (consisting of an hourly rate up to 40 hours and all applicable overtime thereafter)
  • All industry standard benefits - guaranteed hours, 2 weeks PTO, sick days, 7 paid holidays

  • Full health insurance benefit options (including vision and dental)
  • 401k match
  • Annual bonus
  • Provision of car for both professional and personal use (all gas and insurance paid for by the family)
