Overview

A private principal who has a residence in Katonah, NY (Bedford) is seeking a full-time live-out housekeeper. The candidate to hire will work on a team of 4 other housekeepers. The schedule will be 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off. The days are yet to be determined as well as the hours, but it will likely be 6am-2pm but could be an 8-hour day anywhere within the time frame of 6am-9pm. The shifts will generally be either morning, midday, or evening. The Principal and his wife will be in residence approximately 30-40% of the year. There is a main house which is the focus of the cleaning for this role, but there are also 4 other homes on property.

The candidate to hire must live within 30 minutes of Katonah already, must speak both Spanish and English, must be flexible, and must be able to work on a housekeeping team and take direction yet also work independently. You must have general housekeeping skills, familiarity with cleaning products, and experience with doing laundry and ironing- especially for fine linens/garments as the Principal does not utilize a dry cleaner. You must not be allergic to dogs as there are 3 dogs in the home (smaller breeds); the housekeepers do some pet oversight including walking the dogs. In the Summer the role will require going to South Hampton for 2-3 weeks at a time and housing will be provided there.

Benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation, at times holidays may be off (when Principal is traveling or not in residence), and the annual salary is $75,000 plus eligibility for overtime (there is often overtime).

You must be COVID vaccinated, legal to work in the US and have a US Passport, Green Card, or EAC to apply for this role. If you are interested in this position, please apply to HN129.
