A private family in Miami is seeking an experienced live-out educator for a 14-year-old student. The general schedule for the role is Monday through Friday, 9am-3:30pm. This is a year-round position; the family travels extensively and the candidate should be able to join them as needed.
Duties for this role include developing and implementing individualized lesson plans to meet the student's needs and learning style, identifying and utilizing resources and materials to support learning, and monitoring and assessing student progress and providing regular updates to the parents. The family is seeking an effective communicator who can maintain positive relationships with the student, parents, and other household staff and professionals involved in the student's education. This student is a kinesthetic learner, and the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of kinesthetic learning and the ability to develop teaching programs that support it. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, and will be highly organized with strong communication skills.
This position includes extensive travel- the educator must be able to travel domestically and internationally, and teach wherever the family is located. A degree in education and a valid teaching license is required for this role, as is prior experience with a similar age and ability level. The family is willing to assist with relocation for candidates outside of the Miami area. The family will offer a competitive rate based on experience.
