Seeking a full-time governor/family assistant for a private family who split their time between Dubai and Monte Carlo. The usual schedule will be Monday through Saturday, from approximately 7:30am-6:30pm, however flexibility would be appreciated to cover for when the family are entertaining (up to twice per week).  Expect to spend 7-8 months of the year in Dubai and 4-5 months of the year in Monte Carlo, but there will also be regular international travel.

Responsibilities will include supporting the 4-year-old child's learning, etiquette, health and well-being while also assisting the family wherever needed. This will include overseeing the day-to-day education of the child, leading fun and educationally stimulating activities, encouraging a love for exercise, developing his knowledge and encouraging his curiosity in the world around him, and generally ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes a confident, independent, and happy child. He will be attending a prestigious school in Dubai and so the governor must have experience with the British curriculum, with preparing children starting school and with supporting their continued growth and development in an intense learning environment. Other duties will include running errands for the principals, driving, shopping, making reservations and generally being available to assist wherever possible.

The ideal candidate is educated, active, and discreet, with a consistently positive outlook. The family are looking for a true friend and mentor for their son, someone who can really engage with him at his level and who can support him to be his best. Respect and perfect etiquette are greatly appreciated within the household, so please assume you will be modelling these values on a daily basis and will be responsible for helping to instill them in others. The homes are fully staffed, so candidates must be team-players, be able to work well alongside others but also able to step-up and take the lead when necessary. A confident, safe driver is essential, candidates must also be confident swimmers, and a the ability to speak French would be a bonus.

Accommodations will be provided in Dubai (separate studio flat) and Monte Carlo (either in the main house or in separate accommodation), and a car will also be available.  The family offer a generous salary, up to 6 weeks holiday per year, and would like the governor to start as soon as possible.  If you are interested in the role, please apply to ZI163.
