A high-profile family in Michigan is looking for a full-time yacht captain and deckhand.  The yacht is a 64-foot power boat, docked in Michigan, and is used for the short 10-week season in summer around northern Michigan.  This is a 58-year-old historic boat that requires extensive care, so you must appreciate and be passionate about historic boats. The previous owners of the boat had a local couple taking care of the yacht for the last 20 years, they have agreed to stay on until the new owners hire a captain and deckhand. The couple will train the new crew on all the ins and outs of the yacht. Outside of the 10-week summer season, the captain and deck hand would be responsible for boat care and overseeing maintenance.  During the season, the family will mostly want to do cocktail sails around the bay and occasionally day trips to nearby islands. The position will require the captain and deckhand to be on call for the 10-week season. You must be available last minute if the family decides the weather is nice and they'd like to go out/have dinner on the yacht. The deckhand will be responsible for housekeeping, cooking, greeting, and serving on the yacht. A high level of hospitality is required for this role.
