Overview

Professional family needs a full-time, live-out Spanish-speaking nanny, in Los Angeles (close to UCLA). They also have a home in Malibu. The family includes the mother, father, 6-year old, 5-year old, and 3-year old (all girls). The 6 and 5 year-olds go to school full time, the 3 year old goes to school half-day until 11:30am. This is a fully staffed home, including two other nannies and four housekeepers.

The nanny must have several years experience as a nanny in a private home. The nanny must speak English and Spanish fluently. The family wants the children to learn Spanish. The nanny will prepare lunch for the 3-year old and put her down for her nap after school. Then the nanny will have a couple of hours before the two older children come home. During this time, the nanny will organize the kids' things, put away their laundry if needed. May need to do their laundry sometimes.

When the older children come home from school and the youngest wakes up, will be the busiest time from approximately 3pm - 7pm. The nanny will care for the children, help with school work, and other activities. They may have after school activities sometimes also. Rarely the nanny may have to pick up the kids from school, which is close to the home.

The nanny must be a strong personality, be able to keep the kids in line. Someone who can keep the kids' attention, teach them manners and etiquette. The nanny should be proactive. For example, if the kids have horseback riding the next day, have their things prepped and ready for the next day. Also, notice if food items are running out and can be ordered and bought before completely running out completely.

Hours will be Monday - Friday, 11am - 7pm. (They have a weekend nanny.) The family is offering a generous salary, full benefits, they cover 100% for the employee and 50% for their family, and PTO. The nanny must have a valid U.S. passport and be willing to travel. The family has a home in Toronto, Canada, where they summer for several weeks. They rotate the nannies there, so no one is away from their own family for too long. The nanny must have their drivers' license, must have their own car, and bonus if knows how to swim.
