A lovely, busy international family are looking for a top-notch domestic couple to look after their London and, occasionally, their country homes in the UK. When the family are in residence the couple can expect to work from 8am until 9 or 10pm with a couple of days off per week (not necessarily over the weekend). When the family are abroad, then the role will revert to a more normal schedule of Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
The couple will be responsible for all aspects of housekeeping including general cleaning and tidying, deep cleaning, silver cleaning, French polishing, laundry and ironing. Other duties include, but are not limited to, cooking and serving, general maintenance, running errands, grocery shopping, looking after vehicles and occasional chauffeuring and general butler duties. This is a busy, hands-on role and would suit an active, engaged couple with a 'muck-in' mentality.
The ideal candidates are discreet, flexible, calm, and very capable, with positive, can-do attitudes and excellent references. The ability to speak Spanish would be a plus. The family would prefer that if one person specialises in housekeeping, then the other person is comfortable taking on the cooking and meal prep - when the family is around the focus is very much on housekeeping and meals and it will be too much for just one person. Accommodation is provided in the basement of a newly-built house in Notting Hill. When the family are in residence, the space will be shared with the children's nanny.
